Full Time Field Application Specialist
Location: Beijing, China
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Include special duties and responsibilities)
? Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving capabilities
? VoIP experience
? Networking knowledge – thorough knowledge of Ethernet, IP protocols and IP network systems
? Experience in use of network trouble shooting tools
? Experience in Applications Engineering or Technical Customer Service with embedded systems
? Excellent technical writing skills to author and maintain support documentation (Administrator guides, field notes, etc)
? The ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, high initiative and problem solving skills, good hardware knowledge
? Proven ability to work with others in a team environment
? The ability and desire to travel worldwide
? The responsibility of building and maintaining key relationships with partners, customers and internal Polycom employees in a professional communications style.
Qualifications
? A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an appropriate discipline
? 6+ years of industry experience in Telecommunications or Networking Industry
? Experience in IP networks and protocols
? Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
? Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
? A methodical approach to resolving complex technical problems?
