The Technology Platforms Division (TPD) is responsible for building and operating the infrastructure and ecosystem platforms which power the Rakuten Group. Our mission is to provide our Rakuten Cloud and Ecosystem Platforms which will deliver Core Value to accelerate the growth of Rakuten Group services.

The Enterprise Cloud Foundation Department (EFD) is thinking big: we create scalable platforms that power the Rakuten Ecosystem worldwide.
Section/Team/Group Overview
The mission of this group is to create an ecosystem of B2B services to improve cross-sell and a unified client user experience within the company. This team is responsible for authentication, authorization, client management and permission management for all B2B services in Rakuten.
Overall Position Details
This engineer will work on B2B services Initiatives testing and collaborate with related project teams for issue identification
Conduct software testing activities independently - test analysis, test design, test execution, result reporting and bug verification.
Collaborate with the agile team to clarify and analyze requirements for defined user stories and technical tasks.
Design, implement, execute, and maintain automated tests, leveraging commercial and/or open-source tools.
Partner with other automation engineers to create a unified approach to automation solutions across teams
Mandatory Qualifications:
Good English speaking and listening ability to meet company meeting requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years’ experience in software test planning, design, and execution of web application
2+ years’ experience in UI test automation with at least one popular test framework such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium
2+ years’ experience in API test automation with at least one popular test framework such as Postman, REST Assured, or Karate
Experienced in at least one of these programming languages: Javascript, Python, Java
Good communication skills to work effectively within an Agile/Scrum development environment
Experienced in test analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working with version control systems (git) and containerization technologies (docker and/or Kubernetes)
Desired Qualifications:
Business Level (TOEIC 800 and higher) / (IELTS 6.5 and higher)
Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Experience in testing of distributed software systems
Experience in integrating automated tests into release deployment pipeline (CI and Jenkins)
Experience in non-functional tests: reliability, performance, security, accessibility
