Principal responsibilities
a. Sourcing and Purchasing Task:
— Support Sales of Linde Engineering and Linde Gas in budgeting process based on knowledge of cost structure, cost drivers and price development
— Prepare and assembles RFQ’s, analyse quotations, inquiry negotiations, select successful supplier, and places purchase orders (incl. purchase order confirmation) to suppliers
— Prepare the compressors strategy globally with other regional Linde Engineering commodity management
— Perform market analysis considering market trends and innovations to improve the competitiveness of Linde
— Initiate and manage re-qualifications of existing suppliers and qualifications of new alternative suppliers
— Conduct commercial part of supplier audits as “commercial expert”
— Collaborate with stakeholders on technical & commercial TCO evaluations
— Establish and negotiate local and/or global frame contracts according to product line and commodity management strategy
— Support cross-functional teams for cost reduction initiatives and value analysis as well as implement savings initiatives in collaboration with Plant Operations.
b. Supplier Management Tasks:
— Implement Quality Agreement and establish a management of change process with the supplier
— Knowledge and utilization of continuous improvement processes (“Lessons Learned”)
— Perform regular supplier meetings on changes, performance, frame agreements, strategic alliances or directions etc. as well as annual supplier management reviews & performance review meetings
— Support and execution of internal improvement projects to optimize and streamline existing tools, systems and processes.
— Collect feedback about suppliers and equipment from expending, construction sites and operations.
c. Aftermarket Support Tasks:
— Aftermarket sourcing for new compressors with clear focus on value added
— Resolution of critical warranty and back charge recoveries for the business
— Prioritize OEM support to Linde Gas during unplanned outage or business interruption
— Resolution of commercial disputes
— Evaluate performance for supplier non-conformance / non-performance, disputes, outages or other business interruptions
— Share issues in the aftermarket with Engineers and other relevant stakeholders based on email, ad hoc message etc.
— Establish and negotiate local and/or global frame contracts for compressors according to Linde Gas Plant Operations requirements.
d. Ad-hoc assignment from line manager.
Required qualifications/experiences
— Bachelor’s degree or above, Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields preferred
— At least 5-10 years of industry experience with engineered equipment in direct support of capital projects (Preferably in an EPC environment)
— the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals at a professional level test
— Experience with Commercial Contracts
— Have strong negotiation skills and interpersonal communication skills
— Proficient in English speaking and writing
