This position is a temp position with 6-month agreement, based in Hangzhou.
The jobholder is working in our international packaging department as a Packaging Specialist which requires close collaboration between the International Office in Hangzhou, the local suppliers as well as the IIC headquarters in Switzerland.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Specification Management: Create and manage packaging material specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company guidelines.
2. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of packaging materials and specifications.
3. Benchmarking: Analyze and benchmark packaging materials against industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement in quality, cost, and efficiency.
4. Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and cost-benefit assessments to identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining packaging quality and integrity.
5. Packaging Material Procurement: Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to procure packaging materials, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to quality standards.
6. Quality Assurance: Work closely with the packaging department team to establish and maintain packaging quality standards.
7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in packaging materials procurement and management.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
? 2-3 years of relevant work experience in packaging materials procurement and specification management.
? Academic background in Engineering/ Procurement/ Sourcing/ Logistics/ Trading/ Packaging/ Printing/ IT.
? Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to packaging materials.
? Good written English skills with a basic proficiency in spoken communication. Any other language is preferable.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
? Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software is a plus.
? Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
