Duties and Responsibilities

Material Planning Supervision

· Responsible to continuously improve the material planning process in a high complexity plant operation

· Support the material planning team of GE China plants

· Track the achievement of material planning target KPIs in a high complexity plant operation and trigger countermeasures in case of deviations

· Direct and control the design of information flows including master data and logistics processes related to material planning logistics within a high complexity plant operation.

· Coordinate and balance conflicting interests arising within material management as well as inventory management, production planning and sales scheduling.

· Supervise all knowledge transfer connected to the material planning process

· Trigger continuous improvement within the material planning process and supervise the implementation of improvements according to corporate standards incl. documentation of changes

· Align all material planning activities within plant logistics and across other related functions in the plant as well as in regional logistics.

· Manage material planning exceptions and facilitate the generation of viable solutions and initiate logistic escalation if necessary

· Monitoring Weekly Critical Parts Management to secure a transparent structure of material shortage.

Project Leadership

· Supervise and execute the management of medium up to high complexity logistics projects from technical and organizational perspective along the supply chain and product lifecycle, including rollout and sustainable implementation of corporate standard processes.

· Consistent Critical Parts Management including forecast, call off, inventory control.

· Negotiating general logistics conditions with suppliers, e.g.: CM, Milk run, firm zone, lead time, MOQ etc.

· Supplier performance evaluation.

· Instructing and supporting employees in a target-oriented and motivating manner to fulfill the tasks

· Guiding, instructing and supporting employees in function-related tasks
