Job Description:
SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS :
1. Assist with the pastoral care of students in the Junior High School
2. Aid in supporting the behaviour policy in the Junior High School
3. Use specialist (curricular/learning) skills/training/experience to support students
4. Assist with the development and implementation of pupil passports where required
5. Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
6. Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom
7. Support students consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs
8. Encourage students to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all students in activities
9. Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self-reliance
SUPPORT FOR THE PASTORAL TEAM
1. Monitor and evaluate student behaviour across the school
2. Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required to the pastoral team
3. Be responsible for keeping and updating records as agreed with the pastoral team, contributing to reviews of systems/records as requested
4. Promote positive values, attitudes and good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour
5. Liaise sensitively and effectively with parents/carers as agreed with the pastoral team within your role/responsibility and participate in feedback sessions/meetings with parents with, or as directed
6. Administer and assess routine tests and invigilate exams/tests
7. Provide general clerical/admin. support e.g. administer coursework, produce worksheets for agreed activities etc.
SUPPORT FOR THE SCHOOL
1. Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
2. Be aware of and support difference and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop

JOB QUALIFICATIONS：
1. Evidence of additional training and commitment to further professional development. Support of Wellington/Huili Values
2. Education related preferred
3. Native Chinese and fluent in English
4. International teaching experience as an advantage. Recent EC graduates may apply, as placements will be counted towards experience.
