Geneception Bio, Inc. is a privately held, early stage gene/cell therapy company founded in 2019. The company is based in Shanghai, China. We are leveraging the most recent scientific discovery and developing treatment for the most devastating diseases, dramatically improving the life-quality of patients. We are seeking highly motivated and skillful Bioinformatician for an Investigator/Senior Investigator position. This role requires strong scientific and technical expertise in Bioinformatics. The candidate will be involved in all drug development programs and responsible for performing big data analysis, database searching, statistical analysis, pipeline design, data base maintenance, and data reports. The candidate will function in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment and be interacting closely with molecular biologists, Cell biologists, and in vivo pharmacologists. The candidate must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with different functional groups. This is a perfect position for a scientist with a strong bioinformatics background, who has a can-do attitude, strong work ethic and ambitious goal for career development.

Responsibilities:
? Carry out NGS analysis for DNA-sequencing and RNA-sequencing and data interpretation to support drug discovery and development programs
? Perform NGS data analysis, data interpretation and troubleshooting to streamline in-house novel capsid discovery
? Interact with members in different programs, offering insight on experimental design, data analysis, and data interpretation
? Present data analysis results in different program meetings and write reports in support IND filing
? Search various databases to facilitate the development of different technology platforms
? Develop user friendly interface for data management, establish cloud-based automated processes for data gathering, storage, and analysis
? Apply rigorous statistical analysis and predictive analytics to extract insights from in-house datasets and data curated from public domain

Requirements:
? Master degree/Ph.D or equivalent in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science or related field
? 3 to 5 years working experience in an academic or industrial setting
? Familiarity with next generation sequencing methods, data analysis and interpretation, in-depth understanding on platform-specific bias and errors,
? Rich experience with human and mammalian genomics, standard genomic databases (UCSC, Ensembl, NCBI) and gene expression databases (GTEx.)
? Excellent data analysis and visualization skills (R, shinyR)
? Experience in Javascript, Css, and HTML and database management systems, and skillful in managing AWS/google cloud platform, cluster computing
? Extensive experiences in high-level scripting languages, pipeline writing, and data curating, processing, analysis, and storage
