Job Title: China Collaborations Manager

About the role

This role will be responsible for management of China strategic collaboration. He or she will report to the Head of Custom Services in China. This is a permanent role.

About Custom services department at Abcam

Custom services department is responsible for China strategic collaboration projects and custom projects from Asia Pacific. They develop antibodies with the top scientists in China. They also provide antibody generation service to customers from Asia Pacific

Roles & responsibilities:

• Analyze research trends in specific research areas, especially immuno-oncology
• Identify and develop relationships with key collaborator in specific research areas
• Study on target info based on published papers, datasheet of commercialize available antibody and Swiss-prot, etc.
• Communication with collaborators and internal stakeholders about project progress
• Support and contribute to antibody development projects on a scientific level, including immunogen design, immunization and screening strategy
• Regular work report and project progress management
• Build presentations and marketing materials as needed

About you

• Rigorous academic trainings in immunology and experience in immuno-oncology area a plus
• More than 3 year hands on experiences and ability to trouble shoot on following laboratory techniques: IHC, ChiP, ELISA, IF/ICC, flow cytometry, western blot, etc.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
• Ability to rigorous logical thinking
• Skillful communication with colleagues and teamwork guidance.
• Ability to set priorities
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong willingness to contribute to bio-industry and help scientists discover more
• Minimal master degree in life sciences required. PhD or Post Doc Preferred. Education abroad a plus.
