This position is responsible to ensure the reliability of fundamental platform services that are core to the developer and platform experience. The candidate supports both infrastructure and platform services in an on-prem environment as well as cloud partnerships and solutions. We’re looking for a technical and industry-experienced engineering savvy to partner with our development, engineering, and operation teams. The candidate must be hands-on on day-to-day basis with experience in building, operating and driving reliability for production systems at scale.

Job Descriptions:

• Handle and improve our configuration management implementation (Puppet and Ansible)

• Design and develop new automation solutions to infrastructure engineering problems.

• Help drive standardization efforts across multiple disciplines.

• Partner with teams from across the organization to help tackle hard problems in a collaborative, high velocity environment.

• Ensure the reliability of the existing systems to guarantee uptime and availability of core foundational services.

• Tackle issues across the entire stack: hardware, software, network and application.

• Perform analysis, troubleshooting, and introspection on core infrastructure components and handle incident response.

• Take ownership of software release areas including pessimistic design requirements, secure coding practices, developer training, CI/CD automation, Static and Dynamic analysis (SAST/DAST), and automation tools engineering.

• Lead key initiatives that improves the overall infrastructure and cloud automation posture within China.

Experiences and Qualifications:

• 5+ years with an expert understanding of Linux systems and services

• Significant experience with configuration management tools over a large fleet: Puppet, Chef, or Ansible

• You understand and have a strong interest in systems and application design

• You have the knowledge of various aspects of service design: including messaging protocols & behavior, caching strategies and software design practices.

• Practical knowledge of shell scripting and at least one higher-level language.

• You are able to prioritize tasks and work independently.

• Experience in developing and implementing automation methodologies for code deployed in Data Centers and Public clouds.

• You have knowledge of source code management, build, integration, and deployment systems such as Git and Jenkins.

• You can adapt and focus on the simplest, most efficient & reliable solutions

• You have excellent written and interpersonal communication and documentation skills

• You are capable of leading a discussion with senior management, and are able to tailor the level of technical detail to suit your audience

• Technically strong in understanding and solving complex technology challenges, having a track record of leading the delivery of complex, multi-faceted technology initiatives.

• B.S. in computer science or similar field or equivalent experience.

• Public Cloud experience with Azure, Alicloud, or AWS

• Experience with large scale infrastructure and systems.

• Experience with a wide array of infrastructure platforms, protocols, tools, and technologies.
