We are currently seeking Quality Assurance Engineers (QAE) for 2 newly created positions in our office in Hangzhou, China.

In this critical role you will be involved at project startup and be overall responsible for the production once product, customer expectations and supplier has been detailed by the buying team in Denmark.

    

As a QAE you will also be responsible for conducting factory audit prior to product selection.

    

The QAE will follow the project, while ensuring compliance to internal/external standards

    

and customer expectations.  

    

    

You will join our ambitious furniture department at Schou in Denmark and work closely together with our QC team in Hangzhou.

    

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform factory audits
• Assume product development responsibility, when requirements have been clearly defined
• d the buying team in Denmark has nominated the supplier.
• Participate in sample review, update product development report accordingly.
• Approve samples, sign product development report, and ensure sales reference sample is kept by supplier.
• Create Product Handbook and ensure supplier understanding and signature.
• Perform pilot run according to Product Handbook and drive necessary improvements
• Conduct root cause analysis when process variance, customer claim or customer complaints.
• Follow-Up on root cause analysis – ensuring on-going compliance.
• Coordinate with buying team in optimizing product cost, manufacturing efficiency and quality compliance.
• Conduct on-going product testing and ensure suppliers follow established customer standards

                                                

    

Position requirements:

• Experience from the furniture (indoor or outdoor) industry and in working with factories in China
•  “Hands on” working style
• Travelling frequently is part of the job
• Flexible, hard working, structured, good communication skills, and commercial understanding
• Upper level in English in both oral and writing
• Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Power Point

                            

    

Working conditions:

• Work location will be in Hangzhou, China
• Organizational reference to the Chief Representative in our Hangzhou office, but Daily task reference will be to our Product Manager for Indoor Furniture, in Denmark
• No staff responsibility
• Start date: ASAP
