We are currently seeking a Research Engineer for the Membrane R&D group within the Entegris Hangzhou Division (Anow). This position will be based at our Hangzhou, Zhejiang site. As part of the Membrane R&D organization, a successful candidate will participate in the development of novel membranes and porous media for the life science and flat panel display industry. 

Individuals in this position will be responsible for developing novel membranes for various filtration applications;

Participate in all phases of membrane development with a focus in developing formulations, processes, and/or equipment to make or characterize membrane;

Be responsible for hands-on membrane formulation and processing, testing membrane properties, developing processes and equipment that involve heat, mass and momentum transfer. This may also involve project and management responsibilities and managing technicians.

·         PhD Chem Engr. with 0+ yrs or MS Chem. Engr. with 5+ years of industrial experience (also accept majors in Polymer Engineering);

·         Strong hands-on skills in product development, developing processes, and advanced materials;

·         Experience in membrane formation and/or membrane separation technologies;

·         Experience in hollow fiber development and extrusion process is a plus;

·         Must have a good understanding of chemical process engineering principles, and can apply conceptual understanding of heat, mass and momentum transfer into diagnosing chemical process issues and/or developing new membrane processes;

·         Mechanical aptitude is required;

·         Experience in chemical processes is required;

·         Experience in developing hardware and automation programming is a plus;

·         Knowledge in statistics and the application of it in a R&D or Manufacturing setting;

·         Must be able to work in a team setting working with team members from multiple functions and discipline;

·         Must be able to effectively collaborate and influence without the need for direct authority;

·         Must be highly motivated and able to work well in a fast-paced, project-driven, R&D environment;

·         Must be able to work collaboratively while think independently and creatively;

·         Must have a sense of urgency and unwavering resolve to meet project timelines;

·         Must have strong problem-solving aptitude, with a desire to conduct experiments and do “hands on” work;

·         Must be proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Auto CAD or SolidWorks is a plus;

·         Normal amount of traveling is required.

·         Must have good oral and written communication skills in English;
