About Asia : The company is a division of  Holdings with headquarters in Belleville, MI USA.  The company is a global company which manufactures parts and assemblies for the automotive industries as well as agricultural, recreational, industrial, and heavy truck industries.  To assure our continued growth, we are expanding our sales, engineering, quality, and manufacturing capabilities in Asia.  As part of this expansion we are looking to hire Project Managers to work with our Asia customer base. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and have a direct contribution to our success.

Position Overview:  This position is targeted for engineering professionals with direct experience in project management of automotive component/system life cycles.  Primary job responsibilities include managing the project documentation, budgets, timelines, and execution to meet all of our customer’s requirements.  Title and Compensation are dependent on the candidate’s qualifications as several opportunities exist. This employee will ideally grow together with our company to take more responsibilities in the future. Extensive training will be offered both locally and overseas.

Position Responsibilities:  The Project Manager position will have the following responsibilities:

·         Support sales/quote function for new business acquisition

·         Act as Project leader for the launch of automotive components and systems in the China market from  quote phase through post launch.

·         Able to read prints, specifications, and design documentation

·         Effectively communicate with management, customers, manufacturing, and supply base to assure project goals

·         Ability to work independently and to lead an international team through APQP process

·         Interface with international customers & suppliers to assure adherence to all program milestones

Position Qualifications:  In order to meet the objectives of this position, the candidate should possess as many of the following skillsets as possible:

·         Completed, or in process of completing Bachelors or Masters Degree in  Engineering

·         Experience working in international cross functional teams

·         Proven track record of team/project leadership and problem solving

·         Good organizational skills

·         Ability to be flexible and innovative, adapting existing systems to internal & external requirements

·         Good business acumen, work ethic and desire to learn

·         English level of average or better is required. 

·         Experience with project management software tools (MS Project, Plex, ProjectLink, etc)

·         Direct experience working with quality/APQP systems of international automotive companies.
