Reports to:Commercial Manager


Overall Purpose of the Role:

Provide sound commercial support for commercial contract(s)/sector. This involves client engagement, month and management reporting, contractual compliance & reviews and financial analysis of the relevant portfolio/contract(s). This position leads the provision of sound commercial support to Clients, Business Development / Retention and all sector(s) of the business including but not limited to; commercial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, thereby ensuring control, accuracy, predictability and timely delivery of results, comparative analysis and commentary. This role ensures understanding of business/economic/environmental drivers of actual results versus operating plan and forecast.


Key Accountabilities:

· Act as the key point of contact and business partner for Business Development teams, Operations and potential client(s) for commercial matters relating to the contract/sector

Prepare financially sound and accurate business plans & models, presenting alternative financial options whilst maintaining corporate values, Group and Country Approvals, Group Accounting Guidelines, “best practices”, and statutory accounting principles

· Act as the key point of contact and business partner for contract/sector operational teams and client(s) for commercial matters relating to the contract/sector

· Provide analysis, insights and support to Senior management and/or clients on commercial matters relating to the contract including performance, variance analysis, contractual terms

· Offer solutions to enhance project performance

· Prepare financially sound and accurate business plans & models, presenting alternative financial options whilst maintaining corporate values, Group and Country Approvals, Group accounting guidelines, “best practices”, and statutory accounting principles

· Provide support / respond to Financial/accounting queries from sites and/or clients including site visits

· Raise site financial awareness and understanding

· Preparation of Contract Price Escalations and variations, review of contracts

· Review of project performance (Actual financial performance against bid model)

Work closely with the wider team as needed to resolve customer disputes, assist problem solving and negotiate payment programs for delinquent customers.

· Support monthly sector P&Ls (by site and consolidated) including completeness and accuracy of revenue and costs. This will include completing client invoicing, accruals for recurring and non-recurring costs and other standard accounting processes.

· Analyse business performance, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted and forecasted financial and non-financial targets against actual performance, identifying key trends and drivers.

· Provide accurate, relevant and timely analysis and interpretation of business performance/results, providing high quality professional information and feedback/inputs to key contacts and reports

· Manage the monthly close process for sector including finalising result with FD and Sector Operational leads

· Complete / review monthly sector balance sheet reconciliations

· Drive the Budget, Forecasting and 3 year plan for the sector

· Engage with key stakeholders to ensure high quality deliverables


Job Qualifications:

? Minimum 3-5 years Management Accounting previous experience

? Experience incorporating analysis and problem solving principles within a large organisation

? Experience in SAP accounting system

? Experience with management information business intelligence tools and applications

? Experience in working in multicultural and multinational corporate environments

? Accounting Degree and CA/CPA

? Sound forecasting and analytical skills

? Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

? Ability to work with complex ERP applications

? Ability to prioritise and multi-task

? Ability to lead and influence change

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills

? Attention to detail as well as see the ‘big picture’

? Positive ‘can-do’ attitude, who can work autonomously in a team environment

? Bias for action, delivery focussed

? Demonstrated ability to add value, improve efficiency and be innovative.
