Job Purpose:

The research scientist will join the pre-clinical R&D team and lead the development of AAV gene therapy for rare metabolic disorders. He or she will actively participate in the development of novel therapy that would eventually translate into the clinic.

Responsibilities:

? Design and implement complex in vitro and in vivo experiments to optimize pre-clinical development of AAV vectors for metabolic diseases.

? Work independently and collaboratively with other team members to accomplish project goals with specific timelines.

? Prepare and present study findings at internal/external meetings.

? Actively participate in the scientific discussion and contribute intellectually to the project development.

? Provide training to junior scientists.

任职要求：

? Education: Ph.D. degree in the field of molecular biology, biochemistry, pathology, virology, neuroscience or related fields required.

? Experience: not required

? Skillsets:

？ In-depth knowledge of metabolic diseases and/or neurological diseases, as well as AAV gene therapy.

？ Self motivated with excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving ability.

？ Demonstration of detailed record keeping and data documentation.

？ Experience with design/optimization of gene expression cassette and/or protein engineering

？ Hands-on experience with in vivo rodent experiments is preferred

? Language: Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese.
