Responsibilities:

For mechanical sourcing:

?Monitor market trends, supplier economics and procurement best practices and keep abreast of new developments to make recommendations for continuous improvement in product performance and/or customers’ satisfactions (internal & external)

?Design, implement and execute the category product’s strategic sourcing initiatives, including supply market analysis, strategy development, management of requests for proposal and supplier negotiations.

?Develop the sourcing strategy for the category through cross functional group collaboration.

?Keep supplier surveys and metrics to ensure quality goods and integrity. Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure they meet quality and service requirements whiling maintaining competitive prices.

?Work closely with related departments to ensure on-time delivery of product and inventory at optimal cost

?Work with business units/suppliers to correct major or repetitive supply issues and implement demand driven supply chain programs.

?Interface and act as the liaison between project management teams, supply chain, engineering and DC.

?Complete other tasks assigned by line manager.

For global sourcing:

?Drive in local suppliers’ development process in overseas site where project installation takes place by working closely with engineering and quality management.

?Manage new suppliers performance evaluation and ensure new suppliers are guided to deliver excellent value for cost products.

?Support regional purchasing organization in tapping into massive scale of low cost products in China by building a robust platform of information exchanging on purchasing practice, supplier panel and price.

?Lead in management of claims from/towards suppliers in overseas projects.

Qualifications:

?Bachelor Degree, Minimum 6 years of broad experience at MNC & minimum 3 years in international purchasing/sourcing and materials disciplines essential.

?Excellent in verbal and written English.

?Excellent knowledge of procurement functions including sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and contract management.

?Problem solving and decision making techniques.

?Innovative, self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision along with strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills.

?Up to 50% time for travelling.
