Job Title: Marketing Manager
Job Purpose:
? To ensure exhibitions are marketed effectively.
Key Performance Indicators:
? Timelines are adhered to in promotional activities
? Show and individual targets are met
? Marketing KPI report
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Marketing
? Create and implement an integrated marketing strategy for a range of exhibitions including exhibitor promotion campaign
? Set out and monitor the communication schedule and media plan
? Use the full marketing mix to promote exhibitions in accordance with the marketing strategy
? Analysis of previous marketing campaigns and execute targeted selections on internal database system
? Identify appropriate media partners and associations and negotiate barter deals to maximize event exposure
? Ensure show websites are fully up to date with latest information
? Set up media deals with external organisations to ensure maximum exposure at lowest cost to show budget
? Strategic database build
? Manage PR activities
? Coordinate the design and production of all marketing collateral, including EDM’s, Web Banners, IVR’s, Text messages, Faxe etc.
? Use new media tools such as social platforms to create new marketing channels
? Copy write and proof all marketing materials in conjunction with Exhibition
? Provide KPI reports for the weekly meetings
General
? Manage and co-ordinate all external suppliers including Print, Mailing House, Design and Research
? Manage and co-coordinate internal departments such as Sales Department, Business Development, Customer Servive etc.
? Provide any other reporting information as required by show team
? Perform any other duties as commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility
Person Specification
Minimum Education Level Required
? Educated to university degree standard or equivalent
Background Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
? Events marketing experience
? Proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate/advanced Word and Excel
? Thorough understanding of direct marketing initiatives including mail and email marketing
? Database development and growth including segmentation / advanced targeting
? Online marketing experience to include search engine optimisation and banner placement
? Significant exposure to design and print suppliers / agencies
? High level of copywriting and collateral production knowledge
? Deadline and target driven
? Experience of working in a pressurised environment
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills

? Proven track record in a B2B marketing environment
? Formal business/marketing higher education qualification
? Knowledge of graphics and web design software packages
