Silicon Engineer (Graphics Performance Analysis and Architecture Modeling)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

GPU/MI performance verification, analysis and debug. 

GPU Performance architecture modeling and profiling.

Co-Work with architecture team, provide performance verification result and proposal on architecture improvement. 

Lead real workload-based performance verification, evaluation and analysis for new chip.

In pre-silicon:

·       investigate the performance and architecture issue in new graphics chips.

·       Analyze workload in real game and AI application, write performance test for game performance evaluation.

·       Debug function and performance issue in RTL.

·       Evaluate the chip performance of real game in RTL.

·       Analyze the performance issue in architecture and give solution.

·       Design new architecture to improve performance.

In Post-silicon:

·       Performance correlation between pre-silicon and post-silicon.

·       Performance tune.

REQUIREMENTS:

5-10 years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry

Familiar with all Design and Verification flow/tools/language

Familiar with Verification methodology and language is a plus

Familiar with scripts like python/perl is a plus

Experience of GPU/CPU driver development is a plus

Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.

Good teamwork and communications skills are mandatory

EDUCATION:

BS + 5 years or MS + 3 years or PhD + 2 years Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Architecture work experience
