Objective
?Provide manufacturing engineering daily support to production.
?Manage industrialization projects to deliver smooth production start up on time and within budget.
?Provide engineering support to EMS improvement projects.
?Manage capital equipment purchase and commissioning projects to be on time and within budget and deliver equipment performance required.
?Improve manufacturing productivity by IE tools.

Key Operational Responsibilities
Production Support
?Provide daily problem solving support.
?Provide production support to reduce NRFT, increase OEE and productivity.
?Provide engineering advice for small continuous improvement activities and assist with re-layout of assembly areas as required.
?Promote safe work practices at all times.
?Provide manufacturing engineering assistance to support QA initiatives.
?Maintain testing & barcode printing system.

New Product Industrialization
?Manage industrialization projects and participate in PMF gate project meetings. Update PMF gate files and train other manufacturing engineers to use PMF gate and write project updates.
?Manage the production start up process for new product industrialization.
?Participate in industrialization project meetings and international phone meeting.
?Provide status reports and maintain MS project files about projects.
?Manage pilot build write reports.
?Work pro-actively in cross functional teams.
?Research capital equipment suppliers, produce equipment specifications and work with admin dept to obtain quotes and purchase.
?Write investment requests with capital justifications, and manage commissioning of new plant as required.
?Deliver training to users of new or modified equipment or processes for technical process, efficiency, quality and safety, and write SOPs.
?Liaise with admin dept to prepare and implement maintenance procedures to ensure any new or modified equipment is adequately maintained.
?Working with Admin Department, liaise with external providers as required such as toolmakers, fabricators and design consultants for completion of tasks within budget, labor and time constraints.
?Assist in other Engineering activities as assigned by direct Manager.
?Lead the team for OH&S Buy-Off process for new equipment and processes to ensure equipment safety compliance and train Chinese personnel to do this.

EMS
?Participate in EMS training and help teach EMS principles to production people.
?Support EMS coordinator to achieve EMS project outcomes.
?Make and update line balance and process mapping documents on assembly lines.
?Participate in the SOP audit process and update SOPs when required.
?Participate in productive maintenance programs.
?Participate in STOP program.
Qualifications and Experience
?Tertiary qualified (Mechanical/Industrial Engineering) and/or Mechanical or Electrical Associate Diploma will be considered;
?User of AutoCAD (2D or 3D);
?Computer literate including Microsoft suite (intermediate Excel), MS project, Power Builder, Visual Basic and server database;
?Experience in a high volume manufacturing environment preferably in white goods or automotive.
?At least 3 years manufacturing experience.
?English and Chinese language
