SUMMARY
We are looking for a Technical Account Manager with extensive experience and success working directly with customers, technology partners and managing cross-functional teams to provide guidance for application and software lifecycle management through quality Service Delivery Management and engagement. The candidate must have experience in commercial software Technical Account Management, client technical consulting or project management. You will work closely with Rovi sales, product management, marketing and engineering teams to assist customers with deploying the Rovi Entertainment Store. Rovi's retail customers and technology partners include the most recognizable brands in Retail, PC, CE, Mobile, online service providers and manufacturing.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated leader, results driven, and a movie, TV and technology enthusiast. In this role, you will drive the Rovi Entertainment Store business model. You will assist in the discovery of new customer opportunities, as well as hands-on management of customer requirements, partner relationships, and internal communications between sales, product management, marketing and engineering teams. You will be responsible for the delivery of all elements associated with a given program to ensure a successful go-to-market experience and direct contribution to revenue growth. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
·Clearly understand and document customer and partner technical requirements, business needs, strategy and vision, and successfully translate to internal stakeholders.
·Act as the main point of contact and manage all communications between customers, partners and internal teams.
·Consistently establishes and maintains management of cross-functional teams and resources necessary to ensure the successful definition, development, execution, customer satisfaction; emphasis on customer business and product strategy, marketing objectives, and P&L goals.
·Manage a diverse and complex scope of support issues, and successful management and execution of our customer's day-to-day business.
·Manage the delivery of recommended and/or agreed-upon services to achieve high customer satisfaction and trust.
·Solve complex support issues effectively; determine most effective method of problem resolution by utilizing internal resources when necessary; escalation as necessary for confirmation of solutions or other options as needed.
·Coordinate and present new Rovi Entertainment Store product features and ongoing developments.
·Travel to visit customers and partners when necessary in order to build relationships and support programs.
·Schedule regular meetings with customers and prepare status reports for management.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
·At least 5 years in commercial software Technical Account Management with strong understanding of corporate account support needs.
·At least 5 years in commercial software development and integration or field application engineer experience (preferred)
·B.S. in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or relevant software development experience.
·Results-driven with knowledge and experience in driving business objectives, customer relationship management, customer satisfaction and revenue growth; measuring against Key Performance Indicators.
·Consistently practices strong organizational, communication, project management, negotiation, and problem solving skills.
·General understanding of content delivery and CE device technologies, such as Digital Rights Management, Codecs, UltraViolet, Flash, CE-HTML, HTML, Silverlight, Linux, Android, iOS etc..
·Excellent presentation, written and verbal skills (English and Mandarin)-other languages such as Japanese or Korean a plus.
·In-depth experience with working as a liaison between customers and internal teams
·Highly proficient in escalation management.
·Experience with deploying software development kits and/or web services
·Strong knowledge of software development cycle.
·Ability to travel for activities such as meetings and workshops in and out of the area. Must be able to travel by air. Overnight travel as required.
·Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Customer & technology partner focus is a must.
·Video, audio, or recordable media knowledge (preferred)
·Knowledge of Consumer Electronics OEM/ODM development (preferred)
