职位描述

Purpose

? Responsible to provide overall merchandising/sourcing function to internal business customers for Technology product category and develops new business opportunities. Manages and supervises subordinates to ensure smooth and efficient of merchandising function with high quality, low cost and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

? Works with US executives and Asian management team to establish departmental goals and sourcing strategies for business growth.
? Liaises with internal business customers, overseeing the smooth-running of the whole merchandising process including product development, negotiation and execution of management function. Global vendor management and evaluation.
? Ensure department's objectives and KPIs including FOB volume, diversified vendor matrix, new product, and project delivery are achieved.
? Consults with internal business customers in the supplier performance management process.
? Measures supplier performance, capability in order to make appropriate sourcing decisions.
? Uses buy plans and product specifications to plan and coordinate product placement decisions by supplier and factory.
? Acts as key overseas contact for OD overseas markets. Understands OD retail strategy and product needs and communicate to merchandising teams.
? Consolidates and communicates market intelligence and business opportunities to product development team in the retail markets.
? Oversees and monitors all development projects between internal business customers and the merchandising team.
? Provides leaderships and coaching to the merchandising team and suppliers to ensure delivery of annual sourcing budgets and business objectives.
? Manage team individual performance and develop team and subordinates.
? New assignment/project designated by the supervisor


Requirements:

? Min. 8 - 10 years of experience in sourcing and product development of relevant products gained in MNC, leading brand, an international consumer products company or a retailer with responsibility for sourcing, product development and or operations.
? Minimum 5 years experience working in China or South East Asia is a must. Preferred of having experience in electronics products, ink and toner products.
? Fluent in English, Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred.
? Working experience in the United States is preferred.
? Some experience in quality assurance is desirable
? Some experience in supply chain management is desirable
? Excellent interpersonal and people management skills, and strength at building relationships with internal customers.
? Must demonstrate success in recent involvement in a globalization program preferred with an outstanding record in introducing new products and transferring that knowledge.
? Must have a proven track record of integrity in past positions
? Able to manage both strategically and tactically with a strong sense of urgency and customer focus.
? Must be disciplined enough to work independently and resourceful enough to solve all business issues and possess great energy.
? Excellent planning, financial and budgetary skills with demonstrated Profit and Loss accountability.
? Understand the operations and strategies of the brand along with product needs, cost components and adoption rates.
? Must be an aggressive negotiator with strong vendor relation skills.
? Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.


? Less experience to be considered for Senior Sourcing Manager role.
