Main Responsibilities

1. Assist in defining requirements and conduct product and supplier evaluations.

2. Proactively support new product development, including driving standardization of components and suppliers

3. Conduct requests for information [RFI], requests for proposal [RFP], and negotiate complex, high-dollar contracts

4. Analyze expenditures that provide continuous improvement in quality, delivery, working capital, lead-time, cost, logistics, and supplier rationalization and flexibility

5. Develop cost/risk analysis of key suppliers on an on-going basis including performance metrics, contractual fulfillment, supplier balanced scorecard, quality certifications, and audits. Monthly status reports will be required

6. Ensure supplier compliance to Norgren and customer quality expectations [Control Plan audits, QS/ISO/TS, FDA, NSF, RoHS, customer specific]

7. Facilitate administration of purchase orders within ERP system

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

1. A university bachelor’s degree or the China equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management from a recognized engineering university

2. 5-10 years experience with demonstrated ability to perform essential functions

3. Extensive contract negotiation and supplier management experience.

4. Manufacturing and lean experience and knowledge required. Cross functional experience helpful

5. Strong process and results orientation. Creative. Adaptable. Self motivated.

6. Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail

7. Proficient in verbal and written English
