Description:
As a department leader within the organization of Changzhou Plant, QA/CI leader is responsible for managing products quality assurance and leading plant CI activities, QA/CI leader requires to provide leadership to improve team safety, quality management system, products quality level, process capability and customers satisfaction. QA/CI leader also requires to lead plant continuous improvement activities such as LPA, Kaizen, OPL. CI enables and others aligned with global CI activities.
The position reports to Plant leader of Changzhou plant
Responsibilities
1. Quality management System responsibility
* Whole plant Quality management system (documents) effectiveness review and keep updating
* Keep effectiveness of external standards such as ISO, Regulations, Customers specifications
* ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS14001 certificate management through regular audit from the 3rd party
* GL certificate maintenance
* Leading Plant Quality system internal Audits and Management Review
2. Products quality assurance responsibility
* Define Quality control plan for Raw materials, key process parameters, Finished goods.
* Quality testing Laboratory – testing equipments, calibration, testing standards, training etc.
* Quality control through quality testing and inspection – SPC, 6 sigma
* Lead corrective and preventive actions for gap identified from product quality control and process parameters control
* Lead customers’ technical complaints and quality claim – 8D processing through CNDB system.
* Quality defects improvement (product variability, FPY, waste, Customer complaints)
* Reliable Quality reporting timely to Plant and Regional Leader
* Management for new product transfer, Management of Change
* Leading quality system audit for critical vendors selected
* Verifying COA/COC for customers
* Lead team building through effective communication of plant expectations
3. Continuous Improvement (CI)activities
* Develop CI program and leading execution
* Drive LPA, Kaizen activities, waste elimination
* Keep tracking CI performance through Obeya room, X-matrices, A3, SQDC
* Monitor huddles efficiency to provide improvement solutions
* Provide appropriate lean tools to team and processes
4. Leading and Developing Talent
* Develop potential talents to build up talent pipeline
Job Requirements:
Experience:
1. Equal or above Bachelor degree,
2. Local language and English fluency
· Minimum 5 years working experience in Quality control of manufacturing
· Minimum 3 years experience for ISO management system management at the manufacturing facility
Knowledge and Abilities:
1. Technical knowledge for Quality control tools (SPC, SQC, FMEA, FFU, 6 sigma etc)
2. Experienced knowledge for plant quality Management Systems ISO9001
3. Experienced knowledge for manufacturing site quality assurance
4. Good experience of working in team based environment
5. Strong Organizational Development & Communication Skills: Has the ability to organize cross functional initiatives
6. Coaching Skills: Has the ability to coach and mentor employees and leaders through complex problem solving process.
