Basic Function / General Description:
? Develop embedded software for elevator/escalator components.
? Develop contract software based on customer request.
Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities:
As a software engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
? Participation in complete software and firmware development life cycle, understand software/firmware feature & operations to exploit test case.
? Embedded code development, maintenance, validation and release following a structured engineering process to assure product quality and reliability.
? Develop software and firmware for elevator controllers, safety components and features, including function test, unit test, stress test and regression test etc.
? Conduct detail trouble shooting and software/firmware debugging to determine the root causes and recommend fixing.
? General software support, including conducting software test work in test towers or jobsites.
? Creation of software and firmware detailed documentation, including requirement specifications, design documentation, test plan and report, software releasing documentation, user’s manuals, etc.
? Perform other duties as assigned and requested.
Accountability & measures:
? Correct and efficient performance of the tasks
? Complete the assignment on target with respect to quality, time, and cost
? Support others to achieve departmental objectives
Work experience & skills requirements:
? Minimum of 3 years’ experience on embedded software development.
? Familiar with embedded system firmware development cycles, firmware quality assurance process and regression test development.
? Good knowledge of state machine, MUL preferred.
? Experience with C, C++ and the embedded processors assembly languages are required, and VC/VB a plus.
? Experience with real time operation system, such as Threadx. μc-OS, FreeRTOS, Linux, VxWorks.
? Experience programming DSP/MCU processors, must have experience with microcontroller peripherals including PWM, ADC, DAC, GPIO, interrupt, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB etc.
? Experience with software and firmware development tools, such as IAR, Multi, Tasking, Keil, Visual Studio etc.
? Programming experience with test equipment, such as oscilloscope, multi-meter, CanAnalyser.
? CET-6 and above, good in written and spoken English. CET-6 preferred
Other Key Competencies:
? Creative and open minded, hard-working and energetic, good teamwork, and ethics
? Good Interpersonal and communication skill
Educational Requirements
? Bachelor or above in computer science, computer engineering, automation engineering, electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
