Mission of function
- Organization and control of procurement activities in the post-holder's area of responsibility, with the objective of maximizing the contribution to operating profit and optimizing the purchasing and procurement processes and the use of resources.

- 1"Responsibility for team objectives
- Planning, optimization and control of the result from materials & services to increase the profitability in the area of responsibility.
- 2"Local procurement strategies
- Initiating procurement processes and pinpointing approaches to problem-solving to secure local Business objectives"
- 3"Human Resources management
- Management and development of employees in the area of responsibility to ensure team success with motivated staff."
- 4"Employee support Actively coaching and mentoring employees to ensure success
- 5"Supplier management Sourcing, supplier selection, evaluation & development of suppliers on the basis of cross-functional teams to ensure that demand is met to the highest possible degree and to implement joint cost objectives from the outset."
- 6Early integration in all procurement-related procedures to be a competent partner to all internal customers for the early integration of suppliers.
- 7"Planning and Controlling
- Derivation of team/individual objectives (budget, target/actual) from Group and Business objectives under the anticipated market situations to measure, report, control, and (where necessary) to give coaching in the overall result
- 8"Organizational, procedural and process responsibility
- Adaptation and implementation of efficient forms of organization, procedures and processes to ensure rationalization potential, to optimize productivity, and to meet safety requirements
- 9Participate in interdisciplinary working group/project work to share best practice, influence and optimize internal processes and procedures.
