Global Service Delivery
Within HSBC Operations, Services and Technology, Global Service Delivery is a leader in the development of services and processes that are designed around the customer and enable the firm to demonstrate to regulators that its processes and ways of working will deliver consistently high standards of compliance. Every day, customers all over the world are paying bills, buying homes and setting up companies and every day, Global Service Delivery teams are making sure all this happens smoothly.
Role Purpose
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. In this role, you will:
By encouraging and obtaining maximum co-operation between departments, use/refine existing management tools such as various indices and quantitative/management techniques to achieve optimum output as per the objective of the respective business case advocated by the host country
To continually reassess the operational risks inherent in the business taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology
By keeping close contact with and regularly visit existing customers to explore new business opportunities and to cultivate a customer orientated culture
By directing staff to achieve high standard of efficiency to meet the agreed service standard and customers’ needs
By optimizing and increasing production efficiency when and where possible
By training up sufficient staff with multi-skills and good customer service mindset
By formulating and implementing training / development programs: performance and succession plans
By encouraging good communication amongst all levels of staff, conduct regular meeting, coaching, counseling, identifying training needs and effectively applying the appraisal system, and consequently maintain a satisfactory level of attrition;
By achieving budget targets
By ensuring the migration progress is adhered to schedules and positive feedback is received from business units for the smooth transition
By obtaining legal clearance where necessary
By developing / reviewing control mechanism to reduce business risks
By implementing internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators in a timely fashion
Qualifications
Degree holder (BA) or (BS)
Five to ten years of working experience
Experience in a processing or call centre environment
Strong leadership skills evidenced by achievement of objectives together with a track record of development of individuals with strong organization and planning skills along with the ability to handle capacity and MI reporting
Evidence of strong analytical, statistical and data mining skills to study trends, make projections and to interpret numeric information. Evidence of strong operational decision making and be able to provide analytical support to the teams
Initiate cost control measures by achieving resource efficiency and managing overheads
