Job Description:

The Shanghai campus registrar will be responsible for organizing the administrative and operational activities of the Registrar's Office. Such activities include, but are not limited to:

· Ensuring the accuracy of student records for home campus

· Managing course registration and grading on home campus

· Setting academic calendar and scheduling courses for home campus

· Issuing official documents such as: transcripts; diplomas; confirmation of enrollment; degree verification

· Implementing academic policies & procedures on campus

· Providing information to campus dean regarding enrollment and academic standing

· Drafting and/or collaborating on academic policies & procedures along with deans and other campus registrars, as well as working with faculty committees on policy review

· Negotiating with local vendors for course materials and other academic services

· Assisting with annual review of Student and Faculty Handbooks to ensure accuracy and timeliness of policies

Skills & Requirements:

The successful candidate is an independent worker, able to function at a high level with minimal supervision. The candidate must have a keen eye for detail, as well as a high level of ability in prioritizing and multi-tasking, as you will often have many projects going at the same time. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential. Professionalism is a must, as well as a friendly and service-oriented demeanor, as this position requires daily interaction with students, faculty and staff.

A Bachelors' degree or higher is required, plus a minimum of five years; work experience. Having experience or an interest in working in a higher education environment is critical. Additionally, an interest in working in diverse, multi-cultural environment will be a great asset in this position. Knowledge of MS Office programs is a must, as well as an aptitude for learning new software. Experience studying or traveling in other countries is preferred.
