JD:
1. IT Infrastructure support
Operate as first contact for the local Bridon-Bekaert community.
Take care about all end user IT questions
Analyze incidents and activate external support channels
Assist in solving IT incidents and hardware repair
Perform user & computer device management together with the infrastructure provider
Active participant in the regional IT meetings
Communicate & report operations issues to the Regional IT manager
Responsible for reporting IT security issues and taking care about the compliancy with IT policies in his/her location
Report the overall IT infrastructure performance to the plant manager
Explain the defined IT infrastructure guidelines, IT policies and defined standards towards the local IT users
Discover, define and prepare improvement actions
Manage the IT infrastructure documentation of the local plant
Manage AVirus & (security) patch installations
2. IT project deployment
Communicate infrastructure requirements to Regional IT
Translate small local business requests into secure local infrastructure solutions
Be responsible for the local implementation of the agreed IT concepts to assure a strict compliancy with the Bridon-Bekaert group IT standards.
Assist in deploying group IT projects for his/her location
Perform pilot implementations & provide feedback to the project leaders
Manage local project escalations.
Assist with formal acceptation for local implementations from the outsourcing providers
3. End user support
Responsible for timely distributing, explaining and if needed adapting IT communication flows within the local entity
Train and assist the local end-users to use new IT tools & applications
Manage change management for the local user requests
Order client infrastructure (PC, Printers,..)
Order client software according to the Bridon-Bekaert standards
Support end user connectivity LAN, Wireless access, Remote Access Services (RAS)
4) Other IT related tasks
Support the users in improving their daily ongoing tasks using small IT enhancements outside of the global application strategy.
Support the location in bridging the gap between the global systems and procedures and local specifics using small IT solutions to improve.
Support / monitor the interfaces in place between the local and the global systems (at the local side).

Expected level of job experience
Should have worked 3 years in IT operations or have acquired IT technical knowledge through specific high school education. Has the capability to work across the business unit with a larger span of responsibility.
