Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Senior level of knowledge of automation &/or die design with comprehensive understanding of and knowledgeable on press automation and equipment for design considerations.
2. Designs all types of pressroom automation &/or dies (Tandem, Crossbar and Tri-axis types of automation) with minimum assistance / supervision.
3. Creates multiple conceptual product solutions and able to influence and guide internal and external customers to the best solution for implementation into the product design &/or customer requirements.
4. Develops multiple solutions to leaders as well as suggesting improved work processes.
5. Detail oriented with modeling practices and bill of materials.
6. Review customer source control drawings/information, specification control drawings/information and other applicable specifications to determine requirements and/or feasibility of product.
7. Able to understand and work within budgeted hours and duration of set expectations for the specific work assigned.
8. Display positive interpersonal skills in customer and team interactions
9. Review customer source control drawings/information, specification control drawings/information and other applicable specifications to determine requirements and/or feasibility of product.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university and 3-5 years of experience
2. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as customer reports, specifications and government standards.
3. Proven communication skills with demonstrated ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
4. Demonstrated problem solving skills including ability to carry out written, oral and diagram instructions.
5. Previous experience in resolving problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computers and Technology
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of: Catia V5, UG-NX, MS Word, MS Excel spreadsheet software and MS Power Point.
