JOB TITLE: SOURCING AND PROCUREMENT MANAGER
REPORTS TO : DIRECTOR, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
LOCATION: SUZHOU, JIANGSU, CHINA
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 25%

Role Summary
The newly created role of Sourcing and Procurement Manager is responsible for all fabric, trim and accessory sourcing and procurement, reporting to the Director, Product Development you will lead our sourcing and procurement function to ensure the availability of quality fabrics within budget.

Main Responsibilities:
Fabric, Trim and Accessory Sourcing
? Source new vendors
? Attend fabric sourcing events
? Negotiate pricing, terms, MOQs and guarantees with vendors
? Work with internal and factory QC to design and implement a fabric quality control process on the receipt of new stock
? Sourcing of limited quantity specialty fabrics in line with our design aesthetic
? Build and maintain excellent relationships with fabric vendors and mills to ensure quick response and priority availability of limited fabrics

Fabric, Trim and Accessory Management
? Creation of a fabric and trim database
? Maintenance of above database
? Management of physical fabric cards
? Management of fabric inventory across all factories
? Reporting to management on fabric trends, quality concerns etc.
? Factory and vendor compliance management and reporting on quality and genuine brand usage
? Manage national holiday inventory levels during CNY etc.
? Management of sourcing budget

Key Projects
? Development and implementation of a fabric, trim and accessory database
? Development of a reliable and consistent supplier base
? Development and implementation of a fabric inventory management process/system with Head of Production
? 20% reduction in fabric, trim and accessory costs
? 95% of fabric on hand at all factories
? Development of a fabric procurement plan and forecast
? Work with Director, Product Development to development budget
? Develop a sourcing risk mitigation strategy that ensures minimal capital invested in fabric/trims but little to no risk of unavailability

Key Performance Indicators
? 95% of fabric available at factories at all times
? 95% on time delivery of sample and stock fabrics
? 95% pass rate on fabric quality
? 95% success rate in sourcing fabric as request by Design team
? On time project delivery
? Management of budget

Skills/Qualifications/Attributes
? Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Design or similar
? Minimum 5 years Fashion industry experience in a similar role
? Excellent knowledge of fabric, trims and current design trends/details.
? Intermediate analytical skills
? An established and extensive contact list of fabric supplies and mills
? Understand garment construction, different methods of finishing, balanced in consideration of a cost-effective supply chain and a highly commercial product.
? A desire to understand more about the creation of a perfect product: inspiration driven by trends; up-to-date knowledge of new fabrics, process and treatments; intelligent design and development; utilization of supply chain resources to maximize potential in garment.
? Understanding and appreciation of the fashion market, the specific retail sector and the customers within it across all demographics and geographies.
? Advanced in Excel, Access and Microsoft office products.
? Highly organized, detail-oriented, with superior project management skills.
? Ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow-through in a fast-paced environment
? Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
