Responsibilities & Duties of the Position:

1. Identify gaps in Best Business Practice Metrics (BBP's), and then work with the plant CI & BBP person to execute improvement strategies.
2. Focus on data integrity for China plants & ensure that there is a good baseline for BBP improvement.
3. Assess the current state of AE China BBP performance and use Global benchmark data to help plants Operation teams to develop gap closure plans.
4. Coaches Plant Staff & CI team in understanding BBP reporting system and generating waterfall charts to achieve gap closure.
5. Support on organize regional Product Line workshops to communicate Global BBP examples and drive development of waterfall charts to achieve gap closure.
6. Coaches Plant Staff & CI teams to apply correct approach / DMAIC tools for improvement.
7. Able to pull together monthly BBP report for the senior leadership review.
8. Using standard tracking and reporting systems, will prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion and achievement of product / process quality, and savings goals.
9. Collaborate with JV CI team to review & monitor C.I. Roadmaps, driving breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance.
10. Assists Process Owners in identifying barriers to project success and helps to drive changes when needed.
11. Document improvement process learning and shares best practices with other CI team & JV across the region.

Requirements:

1. Has demonstrated high-level performance in current and previous positions.
2. Has shown initiative, the desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations
3. Possesses basic manufacturing process knowledge across at least three product lines (eg. From Trim, foam, metal, JIT, Headliners, Visors, Injection moulding).
4. Possesses basic financial knowledge, with the ability to do the operational analysis.
5. Possesses good presentation skills, with the ability to present to large group, such as 'in-plant' process experts.
6. Possesses basic statistical knowledge and the ability to apply statistics to product and process improvement projects.
7. Possesses basic computer skills (experience with spreadsheet applications would be very helpful).
8. Has sufficient experience within the Company to be able to understand the organization and its business processes.
9. Has at least a certification as a Green Belt or has received certification as a Lean Implementer.
10. Has demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise influence without authority
