职位描述
Primary function is to provide on-site Software Engineering support to I&C during Precom/Commissioning of NOV supplied drilling equipment.
Operationally, the Software Engineer will report directly I&C Manager on relevant site.
Organizational wise, the Software Engineer will report directly to I&C Regional Manager and/or Software Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
l Write, modify, and debug software for Amphion Control systems..
l Use source debuggers and visual development environments.
l Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents.
l Write code to written technical specifications.
l Investigate, analyze, correct, and document reported defects.
l Serve as a technical resource to provide expertise and assistance for Amphion Software systems on site in various shipyards.
l Support the creation, development and maintenance of commissioning and software documentation.
l Provide clear and concise reporting on all verification and testing executed on software systems.
l Utilize software change management systems to ensure accurate revision control and software releases.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
l Candidates should hold a degree or diploma in software development or a similar discipline, or have the equivalent knowledge gained through field performance and / or installation and commissioning roles. Relevant experience in an automated machine environment is advantageous.
l Candidates must have 3 years minimum experience programming Java, C++, XML and HTML. Candidates with a background in automation and heavy engineering within the oil and gas or power generation industries would be preferred however applicants with similar experience and backgrounds will be considered
l Good verbal and written English communication skills
l Upon assignment, 6-8 months training will take place in Houston/Singapore.
