Job Purpose

?Establish strong business partnerships with internal and external clients; demonstrating and understanding of their business (cross function) in order to provide expertise-based opinions & service (business process management & control, accounting & tax, reporting & Management information, planning & analysis, Balance Sheet, Cash-flow & Risk Management and Project Management).

?Support business process optimisation based on thorough financial analysis.

?Optimize local system, develop and maintain internal control, deliver according to instructions (steps, timings, format, etc) in line with Novartis Financial policy and procedure.

Major Accountabilities

1.Budgeting
?Support the co-ordination and implementation of the financial aspects of Strategic Planning / Budgeting activities across the organization :
oAssist with the setting of timelines and the determination of key steps, interactions, checkpoints and deliverables
oWork closely with FRA and other relevant process owners supporting customers
?Develop financial models to keep track of latest financial forecast and analyse actuals vs targets across functions
?Actively manages the process to achieve set targets by creating transparency / risk assessment and ensure no surprises.

2.Internal Control
?Design business process which are in line with internal control standards.
?Ensure compliance with financial reporting guidelines and SOX compliance.
?Meet internal month-end reporting deadlines
?Update Management Information System (IAS, chart of accounts, manual changes etc)
?Manage all Finance Standard Operating Policies and Procedures.

3.SAP
?Manage product costing and ensure SAP system is properly updated
?Liaise with production / logistics on costing matters

?Communication of LE vs budget with functions
?Improve operating efficiency
?Co-responsibility for ensuring the required internal and external accounting, reporting and control standards
?Timely availability of financial data.
