Responsibilities:
1.Collaborate with other departments in proposing facilities or equipment that best meet user requirements, technical aspects and ergonomics.
2.Make detailed facilities designs and complete documentation.
3.Evaluate and select supplier (together with Purchasing Department). Recommend supplier options based on cost, quality and delivery. Consider external factors such as supplier technical skill level, spare part support etc.
4.Test and commission facilities, machines and equipment (include performance figures).
5.Provide training, guidelines and technical know-how in term of facilities to Production crews and maintenance group.
6.Follow up and update activities to ensure the facilities development project schedule are strictly followed. Proactively find solutions to potential problems that may affect the schedule.
7.Deliver facilities and equipment that most meet of End User’s requirement or needs.
8.Initiate continuous improvement in existing production facilities.
9.Manage facilities development activities and ensure complete documentation is done.
10.Keep abreast with automation technological development, and apply automation and/or semi-automation technology to the facilities development to improve the productivity of the manufacturing processes.
11.Provide guidelines and technical know-how to the Facilities Development group on development of facilities.
12.Define specifications of new equipment or facilities with emphasis on high productivity and maintainability.
Requirements:
1.Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering plus at least 3 years' engineering experience in manufacturing environment.
2.Proficient in computer skills such as AutoCAD, Pro-E, Matlab or Protel.
3.Thorough knowledge and understanding of manufacturing equipment maintenance especially control systems (PLC).
4.Ability to work independently without supervision and also as part of a team
5.Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English
6.Ability to read and understand technical material in English
7.Experience in tooling and mechanical design.
8.Proficient in reading technical drawings.
9.Experience in Low Voltage products is a plus.
