ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide front-line technical support to end-users in a multi-national environment via telephone, email, voicemail, remote control
- Works together with other Service Desk team members and other IT teams in providing excellent level of communication within the team and with end-users in resolving issues
- Works as a link between other IT staff and end-users
- Enable Business departments to maintain maximum level of productivity through focused urgency when facing issues
- Troubleshoots basic requests related to hardware, software, printing, operating systems, Microsoft Office, VPN connectivity, network, Lotus Notes client, Blackberry, Company specific applications.
- Manage tickets and end-user follow-up via Remedy
- Performs basic administration tasks such as user management, documentation, Service Desk Mailbox, communication messages to users
- Follows company policies and procedures
- Maintain Service Level Agreements
- Adapt to changing business needs

The incumbent of this position is responsible for his/her own work in accordance with IT policies / standards and his/her supervisors/managers’ instruction. Some work requires analysis and use of initiative and independent judgment while most of assignments are specific and well defined.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND COMPETENCY:
- Experience in call center or Helpdesk Environment
- Languages required: Excellent level of Japanese or English both written and spoken. Mandarin (mother tongue or near native) – written and spoken
- Knowledge of Remedy used for tracking incidents
- Knowledge of software, such as Microsoft Windows, McAfee, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office
- Lenovo ThinkPad and ThinkCentre
- Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills (e.g. TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP, DNS )
- Lotus Notes client support
- Printers, PDA, mobile phone, USB devices and other hardware troubleshooting and support
- Monitoring and reporting tools
- VPN Client knowledge
- ITIL Certified
- ERP knowledge (Oracle)
- Good listener, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others and in a one-on-one environment
- Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills
- Ability to take initiative and manage time efficiently
- Remote support of user issues in foreign countries or traveling users
- Excellent ability to handle stressful situations and have good analytical skills
