The Challenge

You will be a key member of the Oils and Fats Enzymes team with a pivotal role member of the Oils and Fats Enzymes team with a pivotal role driving the expansion of our position within the Oilseed Processing industry for the China and Asian markets. The Field Technical Support Specialist will report to the Field Technical Support Manager and will work directly with others of the DSM Field Tech Support Group, Regional Sales Managers, Industry Partners and customers to ensure optimal implementation and use of our enzyme-based processes in the Oilseed Processing industry.

The main responsibilities for this role are:

?Lead the implementation of enzymatic processing at customer's plants, working closely with DSM engineering partners and customer's operators to ensure rapid and optimized startup of process. Coordinate collection of samples for analysis, gathering and analysis of plant data during implementation. Compose reports on completion of start-up phase and provide recommendations for future implementations.
?Use technology and troubleshooting skills to identify and propose improvements to help optimize customer enzymatic degumming operations. Act as the technical point of contact for the customer. Coordinate additional technical resources to investigate and find the root cause of customer problems and to develop solutions.
?Visit potential customers with Oils & Fats Enzymes Sales Team, DSM engineering partners and others. Conduct site surveys of the existing non-enzymatic process; develop plant technical mappings and process reviews, in order to determine the proper protocol for enzyme product use.
?Provide on-going product application reviews to customer accounts
?Ensure the highest standards are achieved for our customers in the areas of safety, environmental compliance, process efficiency and reliability when using our product.

The Ideal

?Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in a biological or chemical science, engineering, chemical engineering or a related field.
?Fluent in Chinese with other Asian languages a plus.
?Strong team player
?Relationship builder
?Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time (including some weekends) and work extended hours to support customer trials and as necessary to meet deadlines or to ensure customer success
?Must have 2-4 years oilseed processing plant process experience, preferably in oil refining
?Strong computer skills, with proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint and basic statistical analysis
