The DSM ICT Affiliate in China is an integral part of the Global DSM ICT Organization. We deliver professional ICT products and services to DSM business and service entities operating in China including DSM Nutritional Products, Food Specialties, Sinochem Pharmaceuticals, Fiber Intermediates, Engineering Plastics, Resins, Dyneema and a group corporate staff function departments. We employ over 100 employees in China with locations in Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Beijing and Jiangyin.


The Position
Job title: Affiliate DBS Controller
Reports to: Controller DBS and Controller DCL, Affiliate manager DBS China
Location: Shanghai or Nanjing

The Challenge
Controlling
1. Coordinate financial planning and control activities for DBS China (budgets, monthly/quarterly reporting, forecast, investments, and support).
2. Challenge and support the business manager in executing the financial decision making process and support the purchase requisition process.
3. Coordinate set up/maintenance of internal control framework for named processes.
4. Challenge people from own and outside department to achieve continuous improvement in financial processes.
5. Create and maintain cost awareness within the whole organization.

Accounting
1. Manage local legal and fiscal accounting, insurance and financing related matters which are executed by DCL Ltd.
2. Support Service Managers in preparing their quarterly Invoices to be executed by DCL finance
3. Manage the execution of local cash management, banking and tax issues for the Nanjing branch office
4. Help business manager calculate project expenses and service tariffs which will be charged to customer; Improve cost allocations/cost price system.

Finance Analysis
1. Make financial analyses of profit and loss of projects and services and propose improvements to the service managers
2. Analyze BOLERO reports to find improvements for efficiency of services and departments and projects
3. Make all kinds of finance report for all stakeholders regular and on request

Contribute to quality/efficiency and reliability of reporting by:
1. Strong cooperation with Accounting and Reporting team;
2. Bolero system management
3. Proposing improvements in Finance management.
4. Educate the rganization on the financial performance concept
5. Support the SLA process: monitor the signing of DBS service level agreements with Internal DBS and DSM customers (basis for invoicing)
6. Improve development KPI’s and management reporting for optimal contribution to decision making within the DBS China as well as the functional departments teams.

The Ideal
1. At least 5 years similar experience
2. Bachelor or above finance related education background
3. Fluent in English
4. SAP experience is preferred
5. Good communication skill
6. Good financial analyzing skills
7. Available for frequent travel between DBS locations in China
