As the head of Transport, Trade & Logistics (TT&L) for the AMEA region, you will be responsible to successfully implement and continuously optimize the TT&L global strategy and driving the continuous improvement of processes, tools and services. For this the TT&L head should follow a structured process of identifying improvement areas, defining root causes and applying process improvement methodologies as well as active change management. You will drive cost savings in Region logistics spend, saving cost via quality improvement initiatives, process standardization and rate negotiations with selected suppliers. The Regional TT&L head Drive logistics quality and cost improvements, establish and maintain governance structures at Region level in line with global strategy for the Motion Business. This is a Regional Trade & Logistics Manager role, reporting to Global Head of Trade & Logistics Motion Business in Business Area – Motion, Drive Products located in Beijing and Shanghai, China.

- Optimizing ABB transports, considering cost, service (lead time and other shipping requirements) as well as other planning parameters, accountability for delivery against internal and external Service Level Agreements.
- Managing the two regional Center of Expertise in Logistics (CoE-L) in China and India, managing overall operational responsibility for both general cargo and project / heavy lift transactions, being responsible for Trade Compliance within the region.
- Sourcing responsibility for approximately 80 MUSD annual T&L spend, driving cost savings in Region logistics spend, saving cost via quality improvement initiatives, process standardization and rate negotiations with selected suppliers.
- Contributing and participating in setting and implementing budget and targets within the framework. Ensuring the Trade & Logistics sourcing performance targets are achieved, acting as a Line Manager for Supervisors / CoE-L Managers .
- Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guiding, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies, for the benefit of both ABB and the employee.
- Performing forwarder and factory transportation quality audits in the Region, establishing and maintaining regional management reporting related to cost of poor quality, savings, spend and volumes.
- Executing the global T&L strategy on a regional level by setting up and managing programs and projects.

- Relevant university degree in Logistics or Business Engineering (Master).
- At least 10 years’ experience within a supply chain environment with 5 years at management level. Experience with managing a Transport Management Center (Control tower) is a pre-requisite.
- Must have basic knowledge of project / heavy lift transportation, knowledge of transportation rules and regulations.
- System experience on SAP PO management and/or TMS experience like JDA, Oracle, SAP or Eye freight desirable, advanced desktop computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook required.
- Must be capable of managing and prioritizing multiple time sensitive projects in a dynamic environment, must be self-disciplined, ability to work autonomously with high degree of initiative and with an appropriate sense of urgency, must have worked in a result driven environment and have problem solving and analytical skills, professional presentation skills.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a must.
- Must have demonstrate high level of people development and leadership skills, strong relationship skills and teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Internal and external customer orientation (partnership approach) - ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with customers as well as fleet provider personnel and proven experience in change management.
