PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Design and evaluate all mechanical aspects of Pelco IP security video camera products, drive new product development from initial ideas to design completion

Know how :

A mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree from a leading university, master’s degree preferred.

Experience required :

Substantial working knowledge in solid body modeling program such as Pro/ENGINEER is mandatory

• Solid work experience on consumer electronics product design (mobile phones, laptop PCs, auto GPS navigators, etc.) for at least 3 years
• Significant design experience on plastic and sheet metal parts, especially on plastic parts
• Good design knowledge of top down/assembly design
• Significant experience in design, fabrication and tooling technologies including die cast, extrusion, metal stamping and plastic injection molding is necessary
• Product design experience from initial product concept and requirements is preferred
• Focus on design-to-cost

Minimum 3 years working experience in a product engineering as main design role in one or more of the following areas is desired

· Video security products including fixed box/dome cameras

· Consumer products including mobile phones, digital still cameras and DVD players, and GPS navigators

· Computer products including laptop PCs, optical mouse, LCD/DLP projectors, and LCD monitors

· Precision opto-mechanical designs including Blu-ray/DVD optical pickup and lens assemblies

Languages :

Multi/lingual: Fluent in English (both verbal and in writing) and Mandarin
