DUTY:
? Operate of a wide range of equipment including existing systems as well as new technology
? Set up pilot plant equipment and prepare resources based on test design and parameters
? Run both lab and pilot plant experiments based on the needs of the Product Developers and Process Engineers
? Document all critical testing criteria and observations throughout experimentation
? Document pilot plant trials, interpret results and recommend action plan
? Responsible for maintaining associates' safety and food safety at all times in the lab and pilot plant
? Manages file records and receives inventory to and from the Pilot Plant. Replenish the supply of raw materials and product development supplies
? Provides Quality control for finished product produced in the Pilot Plant and ensures that all products leaving the site are safe
? React to getting assignments completed in a timely, effective manner
? Plans, collects materials for, and executes trial production and development tests
? Cleans and sanitizes equipment/ machinery and pilot plant facility according to good manufacturing and sanitation practices
? Document and catalogue required Quality Control and Safety documents
? Develops and updates Standard Operating Procedures for equipment and procedures in the Pilot Plant
? Commission new equipment and qualify the pilot plant process of the new equipment
? Assume responsibilities asked by the Pilot Plant Supervisor and department managers
? Assist Product Developers and Process Engineers in factory trials

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

1.Minimum high school diploma and completion of trade school. Candidates with higher education are preferred.
2. 3+ Years of manufacturing or R&D pilot plant experience.Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of food manufacturing
3.Basic use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Ability to write documents (ex. safety reports, equipment operating instructions) as needed.
4.Basic English reading and writing skills, in order to be able to understand and respond to e-mails sent by the R&D associates. Willing to improve English skills if needed.
5.Flexible in staying overtime when needed. Willing to travel with Product Developers to factory trials when asked.
