ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This description is a summary of principle responsibilities and is not intended to include all duties, which may be assigned.
?Understand business process, initiatives and operational issues and how current deployed functionality/configuration relates to current processes.
?Understand software capabilities and functionality: "Out of the box" as well as "as deployed at BCI".
?Act as liaison for the "business" functional/strategic leaders and define, with the business, the overall IT project and Support Priorities
?Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.
?Lead design sessions in prototyping new functionality for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
?Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for standardizing, improving and further leveraging these systems.
?Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
?Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems.
?Accountable for the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications while keeping the total cost of ownership at a minimal (i.e. avoid customization of packaged software wherever possible)
?Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization.
?Create system design proposals.
?Prepare documentation according to SDLC standards for in-depth testing for modified and new functionality: business requirements (MD50), process flows and cross functional integration. Prepare documentation: Test scripts, integrated/regression test scripts, UAT scripts, requirements validation, facilitate UAT.
?Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
?Ensure compatibility and interoperability of computing systems/modules.
?Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to technical architects.
?Provide guidance and/or instruction to 'Super User Network' SMEs.
?Responsible for trouble-shooting Level 2 production issues. Collaborate with Level 3 (Technical Architects and/or software manufacturer) to resolve issues that need further technical assistance.
?Collaborate with Technical Architects to maintain and enhance performance of all new and existing software and applications across the organization.
?Prioritize, schedule, and administer all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.
?Responsible for packaged software set-ups and configuration.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS:

Senior Business Analyst reports to the Sr. Manager of IT. The Senior Business Analyst collaborates with staff members within the IT group to maintain and enhance the performance of all new and existing software and applications across the organization. The Senior Business Analyst partner with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve complex systems issues.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND GIVEN:


ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND COMPETENCY:
?Bachelor's degree in a technical / business discipline with 6 to 10 years practical technical/ functional experience and 2+ life cycle implementation for the Oracle EBS R12 or 11i modules
?Strong written and verbal communication skills
?Strong knowledge of Oracle Application functionality, schemas and development framework
?Project Management skills
?Broad knowledge and particular strength of the following Oracle EBS modules: General Ledgers, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, iPayment, Fixed Assets, Order Management, Shipping Execution, Service, iExpense, Inventory, Purchasing.
?Knowledge about salesforce.com is a plus
?Knowledge about Oracle BI tool is a plus
?Experience with global implementation of Oracle EBS
?Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio and Project 2003 or later
?Strong interpersonal skills
?Fluent in Chinese and English
?Position is located in Shanghai

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
?International experience
?Experience delivering projects and providing end user support in a large global instance of Oracle environment

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
The job requires between10% to 20% travels including international travel.
