Packaging Engineering is an essential function for Henkel’s Adhesive Operations Department. This packaging role will focus on the Northern China, Japan, and Korea, while supporting the Global Packaging Organizations goals and objectives. This job exists to design secondary and tertiary packaging for products while focusing on cost, safety, and efficient designs. The Packaging Engineer will maintain the accuracy of the packaging specification database, and work with Henkel suppliers to gather and maintain packaging specifications they provide. There will be a strong focus on cost out, standardization of packaging, and alignment with the Global Packaging Organization’s deliverables.

    

    

"? Identify and evaluate new packaging materials to maximize cost-performance

    

? Work cross-functionally with purchasing, marketing, and manufacturing to drive key cost, customer, or production requirements

    

? Work with vendors on new packaging designs and requirements driven by cost out or customer driven projects.

    

? Develop root cause analysis on quality issues with existing packaging and help coordinate corrective actions with vendors.

    

? Harmonization and standardization of packaging requirements and specifications

    

? Introduce new packaging concepts to manufacturing locations

    

? Maintain and update the IPAS specification database. Responsible for master data.

    

? Receive concepts from product development innovation engineer, and work with them to implement into production environment.

    

? Focus on sustainable initiatives for the production environment."
