Responsibility:
1. Ensure the cost-, quality and time-oriented supply of all Johnson Controls Plants with the required goods,
2. materials, equipment's and services under compliance with the respective business plans, budgets and targets.
3. Design optimal supply base
4. Control and approval of all strategic advanced and operational purchasing activities and decisions for production
5. within the commodity organization
6. Coordination of purchasing targets with the managing board and the related departments
7. Lead, motivate, support and develop purchasing staff members relating to the Commodity core teams
8. Development, coordination and steering of purchasing strategies for all plants that consume commodities
9. Control and improve purchasing controlling and cost analysis in order to guarantee savings- and cost tracking
10. Support of proper Make or Buy decisions
11. Support efforts concerning supply base rationalization and supplier development
12. Guarantee compliance with BOS, PLUS, POS and SOX procedures
13. Leverage of purchases across all ( C )BU's
14. Structuring and bundling of global and regional aspects within the Commodity organization
15. Improvement of program-profitability as well as of all purchasing activities for the purposes of continuous
16. improvement through global sourcing, long/life-time reductions etc.
17. Global- and cost-oriented purchasing of goods parts or services for the production within the Commodity
18. Organization. Strategic management of the commodity / sub commodity
19. Co-ordination of all advanced and operational Purchasing activities within the Commodity organization starting
20. from phase 0 and over lifetime.
21. Meet or exceed profit plan goals related commodities: Cost Savings, economics, quality, supplier rationalization,
22. LCC % content and other agreed objectives

Requirement:
1. Commercial or technical degree or appropriate job experience
2. Min. 5 years within automotive or commodity related industry and min. 2 years as Senior Buyer
3. Purchasing experience, operational and strategic involvement
4. In depth understanding of purchasing tools and practices
5. PC knowledge (MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
6. Controlling and cost analysis knowledge
7. Leadership skills
8. Relevant SAP knowledge
