A. Job Objectives:
Demand Planner of APAC regional demand planning organization and will support APAC countries accelerated business growth. It acts as an interface between Marketing/Sales organization (Brand-, Customer- Manager) of APAC countries and Mattel Manufacture and operation (40+ plants, Master Planner, Product Integrity functions). Planning-relevant information from regional marketing and financial team, (Marketing-Events, sales intelligence etc.) has to be collected and evaluated, as well as forwarded to plants or OEM vendors to secure on time delivery, to reach business plan and avoid inventory risk, as well as supply chain efficiency. Statistical forecast running plus marketing intelligence to provide sales team a more accurate sales forecast base on the historical data.


B. Job Responsibilities :
 
1. S&OP demanding processes and procedure.
a. Analyze sales forecast base on history, seasonal and trend. Cope with Sales and Marketing to validate sales forecast and improve accuracy.
b. Coordinate the spread of incoming product over 12 months to meet sales & marketing objectives whilst achieving inventory target and Financial Governor.
2. Communicate on fixed agenda the plants or OEM vendors to ensure on time delivery, monitor availability, coordinate allocation in case of shortage or oversold. In cooperation with Master Planner Team to make sure that demand can be fulfilled.
3. Be responsible for the regular contact with commercial and marketing team for all updated information, promotion preparation, forecasting, overstock reduction, etc.
4. Take action to eliminate delays or over-stocks and ensure adherence to sales/marketing plans.
5. Keep the inventory under control. Monitor inventory targets by measuring KPIs for the monthly report.
6. Forecast accuracy improvement for APAC countries base on the historical data, sales trend and marketing intelligence.
7. Working closely and communicating effectively with Marketing, sales, finance, logistic, QA and PI, on issues pertaining to inventory, cost and quality and drive initiatives to positively influence supply chain cost.
8. Liaise with Subsidiary Planners to review opportunities with regards to alternative sourcing of product via CIT’s.

C. Experience, Knowledge and Skills

1. Bachelor degree in economics or industrial engineering with emphasis on logistics and/or relevant internships, Exposure to Global Supply Chains & Demand– Operations preferred
2. 3 to 5 years’ business experience with at least 2-3 years in Operations / Supply chain at an executive level. - Preferably in FMCG / Consumer Goods Strong collaboration and coordination capability
3. Fluent English both in written and oral communications.
4. Enjoys working with IT tools, mainly MS Office software (Excel, Access),ERP-user experience is of benefit
5. Demand-/Inventory-Planning or plant logistics experience is of benefit
6. First Marketing/Sales experience is of benefit
7. Strong Customer orientation, process and result orientation
8. Ability to work in teams, Result-oriented and ability to follow through on committed tasks,
