Basic Function/General scope 基本职能
Management of stragetic work transition (TOW) and / or new product introduction (NPI) projects as part of a world-class factory for Fire Detection products in China. Leading TOW / NPI project teams comprised of engineering, product management, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and other functions. Team members are located across the country and at other UTC global businesses located outside China. Responsible for creating and implementing project schedules, budgets, cost & performance specifications.

This person will also be tasked with developing NPI project management as core competency within the business. He / she will will work closely with the related teams to industrialize the world-class fire detection products for both China and global segments.

Reports to Manager of NPI Department in GST.

Duties & Responsibilities职责范围：
Project management of top priority TOW or NPI projects for Fire detection business. Projects to include localization of existing global product offerings for China, manufacturing transfer between UTC global factories, or new products introduction with global market scope.
Lead cross-functional project team throughout the full project cycle - from feasibility phase till one year after product launch.
Drive projects to meet each milestone deliverables including performance, schedule & cost objectives, and periodically review with project sponsor and management team.
Act as a communication bridge to interact with the other global UTCBIS organizations regarding ECO implementation, processes optimization and continuous improvements for production manufacturability and quality & reliability.
Coordinate with all the associated team members to setup the systems, procedure, processes, equipments, fixtures for manufacturing readiness according to designated project requirements.
Drive manufacturing check sample builds and pilot runs to validate product industrialization readiness.
Develop manufacturing ramp up plans based on customer orders and manufacturing capability and capacity situation. Drive continues improvement and lean concepts during project execution.
Manage project risks and develop the mitigation plans, report and track project issues at different levels.
Conduct project milestone deliverables and lessons learnt review with the associated functions to develop improvement plans for tracking and reporting at different management level. Utilize UTC’s Product Development and Industrialization Process called Passport. Prepare and present preparations to senior leadership at key project milestones.
Serve as a champion & expert of NPI project management within GST, and make contributions to the cross-functional NPI process optimization. Support Program Management Office on NPI/TOW program governance.
Qualifications & Competency录用条件
The candidate should possess:-
1- A bachelors degree in engineering is required. A mechanical or electrical & electronics related engineering major is preferred.
2- 6+ years electronic manufacturing work experience plus a few years project management experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
3- Experience working in a multi-national company engineering department is highly preferred.
4- Experience in electronic product development and/or manufacturing is highly preferred.
5- Experience managing work transition / new product manufacturing introduction (M-NPI) projects is required.
6- Ability to lead projects independently with team members in multiple locations globally. Strong communication skills are required.
7- Fluent english both written and oral.
8- Self-Motivated, proactive and “Can Do” attitude. Flexible and can adapt to diversed corporation environment quickly.
9- PMP certification is a plus.
