Principal Accountability:
? Deep understanding of the different production processes
? Preparation of shut downs together with technical department and responsible for start up of single production units or the whole plant
? Set up and updating plant or production documentation (English and Chinese)
? Education and training of the operation team
? Cause studies in case of production problems (chemical / technical); problem-solving proposals. Implementation of the proposals in coordination with production manager.
? Identifies production irregularities -by himself and in discussion with team leader- and sets up correction-plans.
? Production planning in accordance to the SCM and technical requirements in coordination with production manager
? Information in case of emergency according to the emergency response plan
? Ensure that the relevant trainings of the subordinates according to ESHQ regulations are organized and documented
? In case of absence of plant management: Authority to run the plant and decide in case of breakdown.
? Entitled to set up working requirements and to grant work permits
? Special permits like .authority to sign. etc.
? Supervise product-quality, entitled to release final goods according to lab results
? Arranges disposal of wastes in compliance with the regulations
? Running all parts of the plant economically and according to the regulations.
? Giving clear orders to his/her direct reports to ensure failure free operations.
? Conducting assembly work personally and support direct reports in terms of troubleshooting.
? Conducting tours on regular basis to make sure all irregularities (according to pipework, apparatuses, equipment of the plant) are noticed and taken care of correctly.
? In case of irregularities: initiate all relevant actions to solve the problem and to avoid any risks for people, environment or production materials. Inform the management and every other plant/department concerned as soon as possible according to the process concerned
? Granting work permits to the maintenance crew and checking the compliance with regulations. If needed, granting special permits
? Making sure all actions are conducted according to security regulations
? Checking the plant safety by conducting tours, documenting defects and reporting all irregularities to the plant management.
? Evacuating the plant in case of fire, danger etc.
? Follow the company regulations regarding IP-protection and code of conduct etc.

Technical Knowledge Base:
? Advanced chemical and technical knowledge (vocational training, working experience)
? Some years of working experience at a chemical plant
? Advanced knowledge of ESHQ and capability to handle and operate relevant instruments and equipment according to oral or written patterns
? Comprehensive knowledge of relevant processes and products
? Knowledge of IT-Tools like MS-Office

? Acting as a role model for the principles of Team Excellence
? Well-organized personality
? Special permits like .authority to sign. etc
? Must get and maintain the legal required certificates.
