Role Description
Position Titl: Sustainability Ambassador
Reports To: Director of Sales and Marketing
Direct Reports: None
Location: Shanghai, China
Overview:
The Sustainability Ambassador will be a strategic position to head up the company's CSR activities. The role directly reports to Director of Sales and Marketing, working closely with property leaders of naked Stables, MarCom Manager & PR Manager of naked Retreats to devise, drive and execute naked sustainability strategy and practices, developing naked Retreats as the top leader in China's sustainability and green eco system through strategic partnership, networking event participation, media exposure.
Core Responsibilities:
Sustainable Practice
Sustainable operations - do an audit of nS operations on sustainable operational practices and then make suggestions, and coordinate implementation with ops team. housekeeping, recycling, energy monitor, kids activities using recycled products.
Sustainable headquarter - recycling, printing, AC temperature,
Awareness, education and communication
Responsible for our naked Pride initiatives (CSR, goodwill programs, litter pick, village community programs, etc)
Raise awareness for guests about sustainability (signage, activities, eco-tour of the resort and nearby)
Internal communication (staff education, training, reward, etc)
External communication (media, website, social media, etc)
External communication (build up network relationship with Chamber ,Industry Associations, Sustainable Corporation etc)
International and domestic program, universities and schools, affiliates.
Core Competencies:
Excellent language skills (Chinese and English)
Good writing skills
Responsible
Resourceful
Creative mind
Good people skills
Good understanding in luxury, hospitality and sustainability industries
Coordination and Integration within departments
Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills:
Experience in Hotel industry or real estate industry.
Competent in Microsoft Power Point, Word, Excel, etc.
Excellent writing skills, both in English and Chinese.
Minimum of 4 years experience in related field.
Strong collaboration skills and experience working as a team player
Education/Certifications:
Bachelors and/or advanced degree in Sustainability or related field
