Position Title : Retail Product Designer
Reports To : Lifestyle Director
Direct Reports : None
Location : naked headquarter, Shanghai
Overview:
The role of Product Designer is to work under the responsibility of Lifestyle Director and support the Brand Design Department to create unique products to sell at naked Things retail outlets.
Core Responsibilities:
In charge of to-scale product renderings, some in-house mockup samples, and also have the ability to influence the design direction of production range.
Design flows and experiences that are incredibly naked
Be a strong advocate for intuitive design with unique point of view
Engage in sketching, concept generation, and other ideation exercises to push the boundaries of what we build
Craft prototypes, workflows, and wireframes of proposed product designs across all relevant channels and devices
Drive user studies including interviews, observation and user testing to influence and iterate proposed designs
Create and maintain visual assets and mock ups in an organized, accessible way
Create visual design for web, apps, analytics and occasionally marketing materials
Core Competence:
Motivated, reliable and talented, with an open mind and attention to details.
Manage project tasks independently
Understand and apply a wide range of techniques, materials and technologies in design effectively
Anticipation and effective resolution of a wide range of design problems
The ideal candidate has already gained some experience in a multi-disciplinary design studio in China or abroad.
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
3-5 years relevant design working experience
Proficient in Adobe Suite programs, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator
Expert in 3D CAD software (3DSMAX, Rhino3D, or other).
Skilled at design thinking, with excellent attention to details
Excellent in sketching
Rapid prototyping ability, skilled at model making with experience in 3D printing
Possesses knowledge of design implementation for manufacture, print and materials
Ability to manage project according to schedules and prioritize well
Education & Certifications:
Degree in a university degree (bachelor or master) in product design, graphic design, package design or a related field.
