Purpose of the position
This is a support and development role focused on the database, systems and business processes which underlie the best operational practice of the PGP scheduling centre. The development function requires the identification of process and technological solutions which will enhance overall distribution capabilities.
Principal responsibilities
1. Provide front line support for PARAGON and various systems affected by or from PARAGON data, including calls in off hours or weekends. This includes depot related issues such as trip confirmation or printing of delivery documents
2. Build the skill set and knowledge base of schedulers through continuous improvement training and analysis on specific issues;
3. Regular data checks and maintenance to ensure systems are running efficiently, champion the PARAGON workflow and reinforce its use within the scheduling centre, Act as a super user for the PARAGON Manager / Scheduler / GIS etc;
4. Schedule a location once or twice per month to ensure skill level maintained;
5. Compile, prioritize and submit to Central team all change requests for system enhancement or bugs Feedback scheduler performance and training needs to Scheduling Manager.
6. Initial training of all scheduler, coverage and dispatcher staff in use of PARAGON and as appropriate to their role;
7. Utilize all analytical tools, including Simulator to ensure Best Operating Practice are pursued; propose the tank size base on the per PSO requirement and regular review the resizing list for make the continues improvement;
8. Coordinate with CSC/IS for commercial issues relating to PARAGON, Meanwhile, Closely work with IS/CSC/FI for any new company setting in system
9. Create the scheduler individual performance KPI and data administrator KPI on monthly basis and provide the training/Internal Audit if necessary
10. As a project leader to take the headship of the PARAGON system implementation in RGC all PGP site.
Strong analytical skill;
Math aptitude necessary;
Good team work and communication skills needed;
Required key skills (functional/technical)
MS software skill proficiency required;
Required Qualifications/experience
Degree in logistics or relevant is preferred.
Good at English, able to write and read English.
At least three years experience in distribution/Ops related industry is preferred.
