Job Summary:

Reporting to Flow Controls Director, the job holder will be responsible for identify, plan and coordinate the development & implementation of new manufacturing technology, processes, tooling and fixtures.


Responsibilities:

? To develop expertise in core manufacturing process and transfer knowledge to other functional areas.
? To work with Product and Manufacturing Engineering to provide suggestions to improve design for manufacturing.
? To develop production processes and modify the product designs to minimize the chance of manufacturing and assembly errors.
? To lead large projects of cross functional teams, including creating project schedules as well as ensuring that dates and budgets are met.
? To follow Lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and improve process flow.
? To work with vendors to develop manufacturing processes that will consistently meet product specifications. Manage the purchase and installation of equipment.
? To assure that processes are capable & sustainable before releasing to production. Perform PFMEA's, Capability Studies and Gage R&R to verify and qualify processes & equipment.
? To assist plants in defining and implementing cost reduction and productivity projects for the fiscal year and 5 year plans. Write capital appropriation requests and monitor capital spending against the budget to meet commitments.
? To perform other job-related duties.

Requirements:

? Bachelor's degree, major in Engineering (BSIE/ME) or equivalent
? A minimum of 7-year experience as a plant Advanced Manufacturing Engineer.
? Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques, 6 sigma, statistical process controls and FMEA will be a must.
? Strong interpersonal skills.
