The position requires the individual to handle the development process and start samples with our vendors. The main responsibilities includes conducting quality controls of ongoing production of Salesmen Samples as well as ensuring samples and styles are delivered in exact quantity, correct color and within deadline. A number of our garments involves complex workmanship and techniques therefore the position requires the candidate to have extensive knowledge regarding technical fabrics. As a Senior Merchandiser you will be responsible for the gathering, coordination and communication of information with colleagues in Norway. In addition, the position requires the individual to prepare cost breakdowns and follow up on existing suppliers. You will work as a part of the Development team and report directly to the Development Manager.

Desired skills and expertise:
? Great spoken and written English skills
? Textile/garment educational background
? Knowledge regarding technical garments a plus
? More than 5-6 years’ experience as Merchandiser
? Deep knowledge about woven and/or knitted fabrics
? Experience in working with European customers
? Able to work independently as well as in a team
? Experience from working in factories a plus
? Frequent trips to factories primarily in Shanghai and neighboring provinces required
